How to do a preflight check

Preflight check is an important part of a mission, which includes visual inspection and estimation of flight.

  • Make sure the drone has no visible damages
  • Camera cover is removed
  • SD card inserted
  • Propellers are not damaged and rotate smoothly
  • Batteries are fully charged and in good condition
  • RC is fully charged
  • RC antennas are set up
  • Wind speed does not exceed the recommended maximum by the drone manufacturer
  • Mobile device is fully charged
  • Compass is calibrated
  • GPS signal is strong enough
  • RC signal is strong enough
  • RC is in "P" mode
  • People are within a safe distance from the drone
  • Drone has no vibrations
